Problem players / Early Rounds

Hi all,

Realistically everyone now should be playing Round VII, we are aware of a few players that are proving hard to get a hold of and we are in contact with them.

If you cannot find your opponents then please let us know via IRC.

REMEMBER YOU SHOULD BE IDLE IN #HoQLeagues TO ARRANGE YOUR GAMES!!

Please could all of the following games(Rounds I - VII) be played ASAP otherwise they will be defaulted to the player we feel is trying to play.

PLAYOFFS: -
We shall be running 2 x playoff trees, 1 lower and 1 higher tier. The higher tier shall consist of 4 players from Div 1 and 4 players from Div 2. The lower tier shall be the same only Divs 3 & 4.

1st Higher Tier Prize: £50 (via paypal)

Unfortunately SteelSeries have kindly decided to ignore any emails (Leaving us to pay for Season 1 prizes out of our own pockets) so are no longer sponsors of House of Quake and we are currently seeking a new sponsor (one that keeps their word).

As promised, the first game week starts this week, the schedule is as follows but remember you can reschedule your games with your opponent.

£50 goes to the winning player again, and we're awaiting confirmation from SteelSeries for 2nd place.

All players are expected to idle in #HoQLeagues.

You each pick 1 map each, and if a 3rd is needed then elimination until 1 map left. Player with the most rounds eliminates first.

Maplist is as follows:

qztourney7 - Furious Heights
qztourney9 - House of Decay
ztntourney1 - Blood Run

There is a poll running further down on the left hand side of the page for map tourney4 instead of dm6 like the other leagues. The poll will last 3 weeks and we shall swap the map then if T4 wins.

Once your match is finished please use the link on the user menu on the right to submit your match links from QL. It's up to the winner to submit the result.

Remember, 2 default losses and your out so reschedule with opponent if you cannot make the date. Dates and times will be the same every week for each division.

Games can be played early if agreed by both players.

We're planning on running 2 seperate playoff trees, 1 higher (Div 1&2) and 1 lower (Div 3&4).

GRAND FINALS + SEASON 2

The semi finals are coming upon us, just 3 more games to be played and then it's the semi's.

Unfortunately sz is going on vacation on Monday so we're going to try and get the games played as soon as possible. We all know it's easilly doable but it as we know some people need to be physically grabbed and thrown onto a server with their opponent for a game to be played.

Please please play your games as soon as possible and either /msg HowHard the matchlinks or use the new submit result form link in the user menu on the right hand side.

If sz makes it into the semi final and/or final we hope to play the matches before he leaves.

SEASON 2 - SIGNUPS OPEN
Season 2 is now open for sign ups! We have learnt from our mistakes and season 2 shall be run differently to the 1st season and with strict rules.

Once you have signed up, you must then also /msg HowHard in the irc channel #HoQLeagues confirming your signup.

Failure to do this and your signup will be ignored and you will not be included in the league.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think before you signup, I do not want any "its the summer" excuses. Games will be forced week by week, 2 defaults and you're OUT of the league and will not be allowed to join in Season 3.

Signups close: Sunday 18th July at Midnight
First round starts: Monday 19th July
Divisions: Depending on the amount of signups, this season will feature 2 or 4 LARGE divisions.

Any questions just ask HowHard - #HoQLeagues. A full draft of the new rules shall be published Friday night.

ROUND II

Most of Round I has been played now, the remaining few matches will be played over the next 2-3 days, I have spoken to the players.

Round II Schedule:
Each match has a FORCED DATE + TIME in CET, however you can reschedule it with your opponent.

The first 4 matches of Round II are set for Wednesday at 21CET and the 2nd 4 matches are for Thursday 21CET.

Make sure you're all in #HoQLeagues for your matches and add your opponent to QuakeLIVE.

ROUND I EXTENDED

Due to you all being lazy slags (busy my arse ;) I've extended the 1st week of the playoffs an extra week.

ROUND II will start next Monday the 21st and the matches will be given forced dates and times.
