Hey all,

Hope you all had an awesome Christmas and I hope you all have something nice planned for the new year. I know we do :)

The new HoQ website is planning to be launched on Friday 20th January, along with all of the new Quake LIVE #HoQLeagues seasons. The new website features a brand new design and a entirely new back end and leagues and ladders system written from scratch.

We really wanted to launch the site this week (1st of January) but it's been delayed simply by things taking longer than expected. We will do our very best to launch on 20th January.

In the mean time we're trying to arrange a cup or 2 for you :)

Best thing about the new site is any new features we can come up with can be implemented easily so the site can be truly as fantastic as the Quake scene want's it to be :)

Hey guys,

Due to the lack of interest, HoQ have announced they we will not be running the duel league any longer. Do not worry, as we have started a weekly tournament that is streamed and casted every Wednesday....

So, It isn't the end NO.... It's just the beginning xD.

So you say "whats on offer ?".

Well I will tell you. =DD

We got a razer mouse up for grabs in our KoTH supreme winners cup (KoTM). (invite only)
So you say "How do i get a invite?".

Well it is quite simple, Just pop down to #KoTH.eu on Wednesday evenings (IRC) from 7PM GMT+1 | 8PM CET and ask xLink or williebobc to sign you up for the tournament.

Each winner of our weekly KoTH will be put on our invite list. Once we believe we have enough participants we will send and invite each winner to a place in out KoTH and will be given the chance to take home our razer mouse.

We already have run 4 tournaments and at the moment have 4 winners Makie, aNtii, CAREEM and rexob that are on the invite list. 2nd place (KoTH) will be paypal'd 20 pounds to buy a premium account from williebobc.

please do not worrie about your skill,we have a ranking system which will seed you, You will not play people to much above your skill (no guarantee). Format of KoTH works as follows -

- You sign up
- You get seeded
- you play your game after the seed lower than you
- format is winner stays on
- challenger picks the map
- Bo3 is played in the final
- Winner declared
- all maps welcome (untill KoTM)

The idea in the tournament is to give newer players the chance to see the different skill levels in duel and hopefully help them learn and improve, also helps them get in to the community "Which is what I'm all about".
